Structural Details: Prestressed Concrete Box Girders with a large sanitary sewer pipe running the length of the structure hidden between the beams, inside the bridge.

Project Details: A truly unique solution. In order to complete permitting for their large homesite development, M/I Homes and Delaware County needed to cross a sensitive designated 'State Scenic River' with a large sewer line and pedestrian crossing. 65' precast concrete box girders were used to complete the span. In between the rows of beams, we concealed the large sewer pipe thus maintaining the clean appearance of the structure while at the same time providing a bike path and pedestrian river crossing.

For this project, our creativity, knowledge of the engineering possibilities, and construction expertise resulted in a successful structure at a huge savings.
